Our
DCS series Drill Collar Slips are used to handle all drill collars from 3” to
14” diameter by adding or removing body segments. All body segments of the slips
are made from high-strength alloy steel, heat treated and NDT tested. Fitted
with circular button inserts, our DCS series slips can accommodate drill
collars no matter they have slip recess or not. This design also enables the self-centering
of the segments to give a full wrap-around grip of the collars.
The
DCS series slip comes in three types: the DCS-S, DCS-R, and DCS-L.
The
slip grip length of DCS-S is 7⅛", DCS-R is 7⅞", and DCS-L is 9".
All of the drill collar slips are flat on top to be able to accommodate safety
clamps.
