The 1500HP
Heli-rig, designed and manufactured for Australia Oil Search Company, is the
newest generation of electrically driven rig with drilling depth of 5000m. It
is the most completed new-pattern rig with advanced international level made by
us since the establishment of the Company. The rig is made to Western Standards
for the first time, which is composed of the main rig and the frog-leap rig. It
is suitable for drilling in jungle area in Papua New Guinea.
The rig boasts the following features

Used
in rigorous or adverse regions, such as mountains, jungles, rainy and moisture
(a humidity of 98%) or mega-thermal areas (up to 55°C);

Lifted
and rigged up by a helicopter. The maximum weight of each package is 9 metric
tons;

The
substructure is raised with a hydraulic winches and the mast is vertically
rigged up;

The
main components of the rig utilize an integral NC system incorporating AC
variable frequency, DC, hydraulic drives;

The
rig adopts advanced techniques, such as air drilling frog-leap installation,
skidding for cluster drilling and auto feed driller.
